Police looking for information on KwaThema ATM bombing

KwaThema – On July 19, the KwaThema police were called to Mthembu Village Complex after an ATM bombing.

On arrival, the police found a wrecked Nedbank ATM.

In a statement, KwaThema police spokesperson Media Khoza says: “According to one of the community members, he heard a loud bang at about midnight.”

The suspects were not able to take the undisclosed amount of cash which was still in the ATM and was removed by SBV security officials.

All relevant role players, including the explosives unit and forensics unit, assessed and collected evidence from the scene.

Police are investigating the case and appeal to anyone with information to come forward by calling 086 00 10111 or reporting it to their nearest police station.
