Duduza- The community of Duduza is proud of one of their own rising stars, Thembinkosi ‘Bashin’ Mbamba, who plays for TS Galaxy.

He was selected as one of the 11 players to challenge the national soccer giants, Kaizer Chiefs, on Saturday, leading TS Galaxy to a 1-0 win in the Nedbank Cup Final at Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

African All Stars FC PRO Tshepo Tlagae says Bashin,who started his soccer career on the dusty streets of Duduza, is a marvel to watch on the pitch.

“We have always known he will go very far in his career because he is a go-getter who listened to advice from his coaches, and is now making it to one of the mainstream teams. This is a proud moment.

“Bashin has through the years played in the ABC Motsepe League side, African All Stars Football Club (Amazozo), before moving to TS Galaxy,” says Tshepo.

Tshepo says this move will encourage other young players to follow in his footsteps.
