Faith-based organisation holds prayer

Madiba says it is scary how children get abducted lately and they will be joined by different stakeholders including the SAPS, EMPD and Community Safety, in prayer.

Duduza -The Duduza faith-based organisation (FBO) will be hosting a community prayer at the Duduza Multipurpose on May 24. The service will take place between 10am to 1pm.

The organisation will be joined by different stakeholders including the SAPS, EMPD and Community Safety.

The prayer service comes after a nine-year-old boy, Ntokozo Giny, was abducted by three men driving in a white VW Golf last Friday.

A similar incident reportedly happened to a seven-year-old girl at the same place last December. The girl was later found dead in the nearest dam.

FBO chairperson Bishop Andile Tila Madiba says: “We will be having this prayer as the FBO because we feel that the community is not at peace. Children no longer feel safe and are afraid to go to school or to play.

“We are saying enough is enough.”

Madiba says the organisation is concerned about the spate of abductions of children in the area, and as the church they have decided to join the fight against it.

Two months ago, an eight-year old girl from Tsakane, Amahle, was also abducted. To this day she has not been found.

Madiba says: “We are praying and hoping that Amahle and the little boy are brought back alive and in one piece to their families.

“We would like to invite the community of Duduza and Tsakane to the prayer.
