KwaThema – A 47-year-old man was shot and killed while his nephew (27) was assaulted during a house robbery on Sunday.
It is alleged three men stormed into their home and held the two at gunpoint.

KwaThema police spokesperson Const Media Khoza says the trio demanded money from the uncle and a struggle ensued.
“The nephew explained to the police at the scene that during the fight a gun went off and his uncle was lying on the floor in a pool of his blood.
“They took an amount of R40 000 from the house and assaulted the nephew with the butt of the firearm.
“The uncle was declared dead on scene after sustaining a gunshot wound to his back.

“No one has been arrested and the police are urging the community to come forward with any information that might be of assistance regarding this incident,” explains Khoza.
The police say they condemn such criminal activities and are working around the clock to arrest these suspects.
