KwaThema – The East Rand Male Symphony Choir hosted the internationally acclaimed Academic Male Voice Choir of Helsinki from Finland at the St Andrews Anglican Church in KwaThema on Tuesday evening.

The event was attended by members of the KwaThema choral music fraternity Ludumo Magangane, Boniso Thethe, Basie Lesia, Themba Madlopha and Sello Monnakgotla.

Kagiso Mogaswane, Secretary General of the East Rand Male Symphony Choir says, “The concert was well attended by choral music fans and lovers from Kwatsaduza as the venue was packed to the rafters.”

The East Rand Male Symphony Choir, which has 35 registered members, was established in 1990 by a group of school going boys from KwaThema after winning the then Transvaal United African Teachers’ Association (TUATA) National School Choirs competition multiple times as the Kenneth Masekela Senior Secondary School Boys Choir.
