After-school maths classes for learners struggling with maths

Duduza -The Duduza Education Foundation is calling on learners from Kwatsaduza to come join an after-school mathematics programme for struggling learners in Duduza resource centre.

Koloti Moloi, the programme manager of the initiative, explains that this is to empower learners who are already struggling in high school.

“Our objective is to enable students to understand the basic concepts and principles about numbers and quantities, geometrical figures and equip them to individually develop advanced mathematical thinking,” says Moloi.

The recruitment drive and training will only accommodate learners in Grades 10 and 11. Learners are invited to enrol on April 5. There will be an assessment process which learners will go through which is a basic standard test. The classes will be held every Tuesdays, Thursday and Friday every week.

Classes will start from 4pm to 6pm. They would like to invite the public to assist them with calculators, stationery and anybody who is good in mathematics who might like to volunteer. They would also appreciate any food donations such as fruits and snacks for the learners.
