Duduza – Daddy Be Proud is a project in Duduza which aims to educate, empower, mend and bring families together despite their circumstances.
Mpho Dibate, founder of the project, says he was inspired to start the project after realising that many young fathers were conflicted and did not know how to go about playing an active role in their children’s lives.
“Playing an active role in your child’s life goes beyond just providing for them financially. You have to be mentally, emotionally and physically present in your child’s life,” says Dibate.

On March 30, they will be having a Daddy Be proud picnic at the Duduza Reconciliation Park.
They are inviting the public to come and celebrate fatherhood, in partnership with Hyundai Motors, I Am Her Foundation and Boss Child. Entrance is a donation of sanitary pads.
Thereafter they will be giving back to an orphanage by donating groceries and sanitary pads.
The event will take place from 10am until 6pm.
