Patients complain about poor service at the Springs Clinic.

Springs resident Jennifer Meyer has complained about the poor service she received from the Springs Clinic after she was allegedly sent home without her blood pressure medicine

Springs – Springs resident Jennifer Meyer has complained about the poor service she received from the Springs Clinic after she was allegedly sent home without her blood pressure medicine last Thursday, a day after her appointment date.

“I got to the clinic at around 7.30am on Thursday and was told that because I missed my appointment the previous day, I would have to wait while the people who had appointments for that day would be helped first,” she explains.

“It was only at 3:30pm that my blood pressure was checked and I was made to queue in the waiting area.

“At 4.30pm, one of the sisters said she had to go home to her husband and children,” she alleges.

Another resident, Marlene Watt, said she has had issues with the clinic.

“I had to get my blood work done more than once because they had lost the results.

“My son has had three surgeries and they lost his file. Where am I supposed to get all that information?” she asks.

Her husband, Jack Watts, says he has experienced rudeness from the clinic staff.“When it’s their tea time, they just leave you there,” he says.

African Reporter visited the clinic with Meyer who was assisted and received her medication.

The Gauteng Department of Health confirmed they had received the media inquiry but failed to respond to the claims by the time of going to print.
