Ekurhuleni Council approves the proposed new name for the Tsakane New Library
Ekurhuleni to announce that the City Council has adopted the report on proposed name changes and has started the process of changing the names of many landmark features in the city.
Tsakane – The Ekurhuleni released a statement to announce that the City Council has adopted the report on proposed name changes and has started the process of changing the names of many landmark features in the city.
Among these is the new library in Tsakane which will be named Mpho Rahab Molepo Library.
Molepo was among leading women who participated in the pass laws resistance march in 1956 and was a prominent community leader in the 1980s.

This is one of the 42 proposed names that will go through a consultation process. The names will be published in local media for comments and objections.
There will be public hearings and constituency meetings organised and facilitated by the councillors.
All comments will be submitted to the council for approval.
