Crosby Jodwana, a young entrepreneur from KwaThema, is slowly making waves, bringing new experiences to the people of KwaThema.

The founder and owner of Bello Barber saw an opportunity to start his own barber shop because he used to struggle to find a nearby place to get a proper haircut.

Bello Barber is an exotic, trendy, urban lifestyle hair salon.

They provide new trendy looks for both men and women.

“We only catered for men when we officially started, but our business has shown growth,” says Crosby.

The barbershop also provides facials, face steamers and hair products.

One of the biggest challenges he comes across daily is keeping up with the trends.

“People are very creative out there and new hairstyles pop up all the time, so staying on track and actually mastering new styles can be a challenge,” says Crosby.

They aim to meet a high standard of hairdressing, satisfied clients and passionate stylists.

It is a place for young individuals and great minds to interact while getting their hair done.

“I wanted a place where young people can get their trendy haircuts without having to break the bank,” he says.

Growing up in the township is often synonymous with violence, crime and poverty, but not for this young man; he saw an opportunity and seized it.

Not only is he an entrepreneur, but he is someone who also gives back to the community.

Last year he partnered with the Mtaito’s Lifestyle Foundation to donate T-shirts to KwaThema schools and this year he provided free haircuts to the children of Leth’ukukhanya Care Centre for their first day back to school.
