Serial rapist prey on women using old cemetery as a thoroughfare

“We are more concerned about the reported cases which were committed at the old Tsakane Cemetery as these learners are more vulnerable because they use the route to get to school."

Tsakane – Residents and learners are urged to walk in groups when using the old Tsakane Cemetery as a thoroughfare.

Tsakane police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu says they are concerned about the number of rape cases reportedly committed at the cemetery.

“Tsakane SAPS Communication, Social Crime prevention, Crime Prevention Youth Desk, EMPD, Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA) and the Local Drug Action Committee (LDAC) visited Phumlani Primary School to give a safety talk cautioning the learners about a suspect who is allegedly targeting women passing through the cemetery.”
