Duduza – Siyabonga Mavuso (25) was killed by an angry mob on Wednesday afternoon.
It is alleged the deceased was seen walking into a home in Cool Breezy, holding an axe.
Duduza SAPS spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka says the residents, out of panic, called for the community’s attention.

“The community then chased him until they caught him and started beating him up with sjamboks until he died,” he says.
Manaka says the suspects have been arrested and detained while the deceased’s body was taken to the Heidelberg Government Mortuary.
“They will appear in court on charges of murder soon,” he adds.
