The City of Ekurhuleni has migrated its recruitment process from a manual format to an online platform.
As a result of this migration, the city will no longer accept manual submissions of job applications at customer care centres and human resource offices.
All applications will be done online.
The online submission replaces the time-consuming manual process and allows the city to fast-track the recruitment process.
All vacancies in the city are now advertised on www.ekurhuleni.gov.za/vacancies.

Applicants can search for jobs using the online recruitment portal on the city’s website.
However, candidates need to register on the system in order to apply for jobs.
The system automatically generates email correspondence to the candidate registered email address once an application has been submitted, notifying them of the status of their application.
In some instances, correspondence can be through a phone call.
Furthermore, applications for jobs in the city do not require any payment to be made.
Should one be required to make a payment in relation to the city’s recruitment, applicants are urged to report it to the city’s anonymous Anti-Fraud Hotline on 0800 102 201 or email ethicsinfo@ekurhuleni.gov.za.

The system reflects the status of job applications as the recruitment process progresses through various stages until the post applied for is filled.
Applicants can track the status of posts they would have applied for by logging onto the candidate’s home page under the My Job page section.
Incomplete applications will not be considered, and applicants are urged to ensure that all required fields are completed before submitting their applications.
