“We are going for all the administrators to ensure all the beneficiaries receive their monies.”

Kwatsaduza – Members of the Unpaid Benefits Campaign (UBC) in Ekurhuleni handed out a memorandum of grievances to Alexander Forbes concerning their unpaid benefits the company administered last Monday.

Demonstrators who picketed outside the Alexander Forbes headquarters are beneficiaries of Kellogg’s Pension Fund, Putco Pension Fund, Gillette Employees’ Pension Fund and more.

Member of the UBC steering committee Thomas Malekotsa says they are tired of being fed empty promises, they want a commitment from Alexander Forbes.

“We gave them over six boxes full of application forms with supporting documents, urging the administrator to process the applications.

“Each form consists of the codes for the pension funds they are administrating.

“We have also attached ID copies and death certificates for those who have died.

“They don’t have any excuses now but to give us what is rightfully ours, our hard earned monies.

“The administrator signed the memorandum demanding the company reports back within 14 days,” he explains.

Peter Maleka, member of the UBC steering committee, says they tried on numerous occasions to access the funds with no success.
