“I am your brother, so everything I have done and the mistakes I have made should serve as a warning to you. You don’t have to learn the hard way, just use the benefit of my experience,” says Kabelo ‘Bouga Love’ Mabalane, kwaito star and member of TKZee.
He admits that he almost ruined his life because he didn’t understand his purpose.
“I always tell people not to ask me what drugs I used, but which ones I didn’t use. Because that would be easier to figure out,” he adds.
Mabalane has been clean from drugs for 16 years.
“God doesn’t give you talent and influence just so that you can shine alone. But the purpose is always to improve the lives of those around you. The potential in this room is enormous. Make it count.”

Abner Mariri, also a former drug addict, tells the learners that drugs are an experiment that always goes wrong.
“Drug addiction can make a mother walk the streets, just to get a fix.
“It is never a good idea.”
The day’s events were concluded when 60 learners from Sizuzile Primary School received school uniforms.
Elphus Nkosi, chairman of the organisation, says their purpose had always been to help the black child see the value of education.
“We understand that there are many factors that contribute to having a good learning experience.
“From what you are wearing to having a balanced breakfast, we aim to ensure the entire basis is covered.”
Each school uniform package consists of four shirts, a jersey, pullover, trousers for the boys, three pairs of socks and school shoes.
