KwaThema Primary wins exciting Xgames final

Twenty schools participated in the Xgames six-a-side soccer tournament hosted by ProjectX at the KwaThema Sports Complex.

KwaThema – ProjectX hosted its first Xgames primary schools six-a-side soccer tournament at the KwaThema Sports Complex.

Twenty primary schools participated in this tournament.

Job Maseko and KwaThema primary schools made it to the finals, where KwaThema Primary School became the ultimate winners of the tournament.

ProjectX is a newly-formed non-profit organisation aimed at promoting black excellence in KwaThema and keeping young people occupied with sports in order to help them overcome the many social ills within society.

The six-a-side tournament is the first project the organisation has hosted.

Bhekizizwe Kunene, the public representation officer of the organisation, expresses his gratitude to all their sponsors, including the KwaThema Butchery, Thulani Simelan (Ward 74 councillor) and the KwaThema Sports Committee.

The Xgames programme will continue hosting six-a-side soccer tournaments as they promote and encourage learners to pursue soccer as a career.
