Fellowship urges community to pray together

The KwaThema Minister’s Fellowship invites the community to pray for social ills.

KwaThema – “We are especially troubled by the violence that is taking place in our schools.

“We need to take a stand and pray against it,” explains Reverend Solly Ngwenya from the KwaThema Minister’s Fellowship.

He says the organisation also invites learners and teachers to participate in the prayers.

“We understand the amount of pressure that rests on the shoulders of our teachers, and we are grateful for their commitment.

“But we hope they will not be afraid to tell us how we could be of good use.”

The prayer will also focus on the ever-increasing rate of drug addiction in the youth.

“This could also be a strong reason why learners are misbehaving in school.

“We are praying against crime in our community.”

Ngwenya says the organisation believes that if the community stands together in prayer, it will start to see results in these areas.

Resistance from every church and denomination are invited to participate.

“We urge leaders to gather and encourage their churches to join us.”

The event will take place on Sunday at Apostolic Faith Mission, Malaza Street, KwaThema at 3pm.
