KwaThema – Parents are encouraged to enrol their children who are in high school for winter examination preparation classes at Ntokozweni Primary School.
The classes are held on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.
Tutor Wiseman Msibi says it is important for the learners to attend the classes to prepare for their mid-year exams.
“We offer classes in mathematics, physical science and accounting and other subjects.
“Our learners who started with the programme at the beginning of the year have improved their grades.”
Wiseman says most of the learners are able to tackle problem areas in these subjects only when they receive one on one support.
“We understand the teachers are forced to attend to large classes of learners and are unable to attend to each learner.
“But through our programme, we are able to address some of the problem areas,” he says.
