Muzomsha Primary School paves muddy school ground with winnings

“This initiative makes donations to some of the region’s most needy schools.”

KwaThema – Muzomsha Primary School will be using the R15 000 voucher they won during the Art-at-Heart Campaign to construct pavement at the school’s gate.

They are one of the schools that won in the R120 000 Art-at-Heart Campaign.

Seven primary schools: Zamani, Nkabinde, Gorogang, Sechaba, Qedusizi, and Job Maseko primary schools walked away with R15 000 each.

The prize money can be used to renovate the school’s pavement, roofing and painting.

The school principal at Muzomsha Primary School, Aaron Makutulela, says they are going to use the voucher to buy material to construct a pavement next to the school gates.

“The area turns muddy to the point that it makes it difficult for the teachers and learners to access the school premises on rainy days.

“We have been trying through the years to attract sponsors to construct the pavement with no success.

“We are grateful for the opportunity and how our learners used their talent to win the school this voucher,” he says.
