Thembisile Yende murder case postponed again

The Thembisile Yende murder case has been postponed to June 28 for further investigations by the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

KwaThema – The murder case against murder accused David Ngwenya has been postponed to June 28 for further investigations by the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

Only Ngwenya was allowed to be present in Court C where the case was being heard.

The 44-year-old is accused of the murder of Thembisile Yende (30) whose body was found in her office at the Eskom Pieterboth Substation in May.

Family spokesperson Brian Sithole says they are not happy that they were not allowed to be in court and listen to the proceedings.

“We don’t want to be left out of the proceedings like they did when they mysteriously gave him a R15 000 bail in December,” he says.

Sithole says they are not happy that the case is being postponed again but have no choice but to co-operate with the police and the court.

“It is better to have the case postponed than for it to be withdrawn or thrown out of court.

“We are hoping through the investigations they will be able to arrest more suspects linked to the murder,” he says.
