Grade 12 learners at Kenneth Masekela Secondary School pledge to improve grades

Grade 12 learners from Kenneth Masekela Secondary School pledged to be dedicated to their studies and improve the schools passing percentage.

KwaThema – In 2017 the matric pass rate dropped from 84 per cent to 64 per cent.

Principal Hope Zwane says they saw it fit to host the ceremony to improve the school’s grades.

“Through the pledge, the learners made a promise to work extra hard with their teachers.

“We are hoping the learners will remain focused and dedicated to their studies.

“Their parents who were also in attendance agreed to help and motivate the learners and give them fewer chores to have more time for their studies,” she says.
