Olympia Park Stadium to host the biggest Easter egg hunt in Springs

Come celebrate Easter at Olympia Park Stadium.

The biggest Easter egg hunt in Springs will take place at Olympia Park on April 1.

There will be over 1 000 Easter eggs for children to find.

The Easter in the Park event will happen in collaboration with the Christian Academy of Performing Arts and will include music and dance items and a sermon from popular local pastor Shaun Oliver.

“We envision using Easter as a time of celebration and unification.

“The whole point is to create memories for the children and the community, just to create an environment where people of all ages can be loved and celebrated for who they are.

“Not what they own or who they know or their social standing or the colour of their skin,” says Oliver, who is also one of the organisers of the event.

The event promises to be bigger and better than last year and will include a peanut butter sandwich eating competition and a touch rugby competition.

The event will take place at Olympia Park Stadium (Springs Rugby Club), Geduld, on April 1 from 9am until noon and entrance is free.
