Police cleans Kwatsaduza

Members of the police raided buildings in Springs, KwaThema, and Tsakane during operation Fiela last Friday.

KwaThema- The police were searching for any illegal items, arrested suspects and confiscated suspected stolen goods.

Springs police spokesperson, Captain Johannes Ramphora, says there was also a total sweep in the areas of KwaThema where they arrested two people for possession of dagga and drugs and confiscated 10 knives.

“In Tsakane, two people were arrested for selling liquor without a licence and two for possession of dagga as well as two illegal immigrants.

“The operation sent a strong message to the community of Ekurhuleni East that police will not tolerate any criminal and unlawful activities.

“Ekurhuleni general Girly Mbele appreciated and commended the efforts of the members towards the achievements of the successes.

“She said she encourages the police to continue working hard as a team and build a relationship with the residents.

“She reminded members of the service to ensure the safety and secure environment of the community without compromise,” says Ramphora.
