KwaThema – Last Friday night, at about 8.30pm, the complainant alleges he left his house and everything was in order.
When he came back around 10pm, he unlocked the door and found the house turned upside-down.
Upon inspection, he realised that an amount of R600 was missing from his bedroom.
In another incident, the complainant alleges that he left his home around 8pm, everything being in order.

When he came back around 12 midnight, he noticed that the door was slightly open.
He walked in to find that his plasma TV, amplifier and DVD player were missing.
Also, Phulong Secondary School fell prey to crime when it was burgled on Sunday morning.
A patroller alleges he heard a loud ‘bang’ coming from one of the buildings.
He then looked out the window and saw an unknown African male running out.
Upon inspection of the building the suspect was running from, he discovered about 14 chairs missing.
Two chairs were left outside the building.
“We are concerned that they are leaving their homes unattended.
“They should at least alert someone to keep watch until they return.
“Look around your yard for unusual objects, like empty tins or big rocks.
“Criminals use these to signal to each other that there is no one in that house,” says Captain Thabo Sibuyi from KwaThema Police Station.
He says people should also be careful who they share information with.
“You could be innocently telling someone, at the shebeen, that you are free and your wife and children are not home.
“Only to discover that they are tipping criminals off to burgle your house.”
