Supermarket robbed in broad daylight in KwaThema

Two men robbed a supermarket on Shabunga Street in broad daylight.

On January 22, at about 2pm, two suspects armed with pistols entered a supermarket on Shabanga Street.

They pointed the firearms at the security guards and made their way into the store.

At gunpoint, the suspects instructed the tellers to open the tills.

The suspects then took cash from four tills and from the money market to the amount of R5 300.

They also took packs of Peter Stuyvesant, Courtley and Dunhill cigarettes.

One suspect was wearing a cap while the other was wearing a hat.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

The suspects fled the scene in a white Hyundai X35.
