Unisa still accepting applications

It's not too late to apply to Unisa.

Springs residents who wish to apply to the University of South Africa (Unisa) but missed the application deadline can breathe a sigh of relief as the institution has re-opened applications for students wishing to start their undergraduate studies.

According to a statement released by Unisa’s Department of Corporate Communication and Marketing, the university has made the following decisions following communication from Universities SA (Usaf) on January 10 regarding how universities should manage walk-in students during the 2018 registration period. The University of South Africa has made the following decisions:

• Unisa will re-open applications for the 2018 academic year for first-time entering undergraduate students who have not previously applied for admission to the 2018 academic year.

• First-time entering undergraduate students may apply via the Unisa application website or via a self-help station at Unisa’s service centres by January 19.

• Unisa will only process new applications received by the application deadline of January 19. Offers will then be made to qualifying applicants on a first come, first served basis, subject to the number of places still available for the 2018 academic year.

The institution will open undergraduate applications for the second semester of the 2018 academic year in April.
