Creamy Bacon Alfredo

Ingredients:

• 1/4 pack spaghetti

• 1 pack Bacon

• Olive oil for frying

• 1/2 cups chopped onion

• 1/2 cups chopped mushrooms

• 3 tbsp butter

• 3 tbsp flour

• 2 cups cream

• 2 cups mozzarella

Method:

1. Add spaghetti to a pot of salted boiling water. Boil for 5-8 minutes. Strain and set aside.

2. Heat olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan, add onion and mushrooms to the pan to brown.

3. Once browned, remove the onion and mushroom from the pan and set aside.

4. Add the bacon bits to the pan and fry until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside.

5. Melt 3 tbsp butter in the pan. Once melted, whisk in 3 tbsp flour. Add 2 cups of cream to the pan stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

6. Once thickened, add in mozzarella and allow to melt. Add the fried mushrooms, onions and bacon to the Alfredo sauce and stir to combine.

7. Stir through the cooked spaghetti and pour the pan contents into a baking dish. Cover with the remaining cheese and bake for 10-15 minutes at 180° Celsius until golden. Serve with an extra sprinkling of bacon and ENJOY!
