“It is alleged the hijacked driver was forced inside the boot of the vehicle,” says EMPD spokesman Clifford Shongwe.
He says the man managed to call the police while inside the boot and informed them he was hijacked.
“But the criminals drove around with the victim and it is not clear where they might be keeping him.
“We also do not have the victim’s exact age and name.
“We are asking for the assistance of the community who might know the criminal’s whereabouts or where they are keeping the victim.
Shongwe says the vehicle, with the help of a tracking company, was recovered an hour after the incident happened.
