KwaThema – Four armed men robbed a tuck shop on Mogatle Street last Monday afternoon.

It is alleged two of the suspects were armed with pistols.

KwaThema police spokesperson Captain Thabo Sibuyi says the tuck shop owner was at the gate receiving stock.

“The suspects demanded cash and also took boxes of cigarettes and a plasma TV.

“The suspects were driving an old maroon BMW without a registration.

“After the robbery the suspects ran away on foot in different directions.

“One suspect was later arrested by the police.

“The stolen goods were valued at R16 100,” he says.

Sibuyi says the police are searching for the other suspects.

“We are calling on residents who know the other suspects’ whereabouts to inform the police,” he says.
