KwaThema – A day of chilling between lovers has ended with a case of rape being opened at KwaThema police station.
It is alleged a fight broke out after the complainant (32) and her boyfriend enjoyed a night out together at a club.
According to KwaThema police spokesperson Captain Thabo Sibuyi, the complainant says she was not happy about the way her boyfriend was driving her car.
“The suspect refused for her to drive, even though he was being reckless and drunk.
“When they arrived at the suspect’s home around 11pm, they fought and he started forcing himself on her.
“He also held her hostage overnight, refusing for her to leave,” Sibuyi says.
“She was only allowed to leave in the morning, and she immediately went to the police to open a case of rape.
“The suspect was arrested and detained at KwaThema Police Station on charges of rape.”
