Tshipi Noto celebrates 15 years’ service with the community

“The aim of the event was to have people of all age groups participating in the festivities because of the different clients we cater for."

KwaThema – Tshipi Noto Funeral Home celebrated their 15th year in business by thanking the residents of KwaThema through sports.

The home held a sporting extravaganza last Sunday at KwaThema Sports Complex where residents participated in an aerobic marathon and a soccer tournament.

Tshipi Noto’s general manager Richard Hlungwane says they decided to celebrate the milestone through sporting activities to encourage a healthy lifestyle in the community.

“This is the first leg of a series of similar events which will be carried out in other areas where we operate.

“The aim of the event was to have people of all ages participating in the festivities because of the different clients we cater for.

“A healthy lifestyle helps add more years to one’s life.

“We want to keep our clients alive and healthy for more years.

He says the proceeds they made through the registrations will be donated to different stakeholders in the community.

“Our financial team is busy trying to reconcile the funds and as soon as they are done, we will identify the organisations that will benefit.

“We are humbled by the support of the community during the event and support throughout the years,” he says.

Tshipi Noto Football Club played to a 4 – 3 loss to Tornado Football Club.

Richard says they will be hosting similar events in other areas where they offer services.

“We want to join the call by the health department for people to lead a healthy lifestyle,” he says.
