Cool Dads raise funds for mentorship programme
The Cool Dads Foundation is inviting young families to the Family Fun Fiesta Walk.
KwaThema – The Cool Dads Foundation invites young families to the Family Fun Fiesta Walk.
“The purpose of this fun day is to revive young families and create an atmosphere where people from different backgrounds can get together and have a fun-filled day,” says Bongani Luvalo, CEO of the foundation.
There will be 5km and 10km walk or run events. followed by a family picnic.
“All the participants will receive a medal, t-shirt and energy drink,” he adds.
At the picnic, a kiddies play area, cartoon characters, face painting and a braai area for adults will be available. DJs will entertain.
The organisation aims to raise R500 000 for its Big Brother Mentorship programme.
“We want to focus on mentoring young boys through camps, workshops, educational outings and career guidance just to mention a few.
“It promises to be a fun-filled day. Bring your whole family.”
Members of the public or organisations who wish to sponsor the event are welcome to contact the Cool Dads Foundation office.
The event will take place on November 26 at Germiston Lake.
