Daveyton – A woman was left critically injured after she was hit by a bus on the N12 in Etwatwa on Sunday morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene to find a woman lying in the middle of the road.
ER spokesperson Russel Meiring says the small bus was parked just a short distance away from the victim’s body.
“Paramedics assessed the woman and found she had sustained serious injuries to her legs. She was in a critical condition.
“The woman was treated for her injuries and was provided with advanced life support interventions,” he says.
Meiring says the woman was transported to Tambo Memorial Hospital for urgent care.
“The driver of the bus escaped injury.
“The local authorities were at the scene to investigate the cause of the collision,” he says.
