Kutlwano donates school shoes to the less fortunate

“They should not feel small in class but be able to compete equally with others."

KwaThema – Learners at Tlakula High School received school shoes from the members of Kutlwano Social Club last Wednesday.

The social club collected the shoes from its members and other business people in the area.

The learners were motivated and encouraged to dedicate themselves to their studies in order to realise their dreams.

This was part of the many social outreach programmes they hold in the area.

The all men’s group, which is over 20 years old, was formed to alleviate poverty and embark on outreach programmes for the community.

Social and welfare committee head, Sello Makete, says they collected 1000 school shoes.

“We have realised that learners in KwaThema schools, especially in informal settlements, don’t have school shoes.

“This is not only for the benefit of Kutlwano Social Organisation but to help improve the lives of children in Kwatsaduza and give them a brighter future.

“They should not feel inferior in class but feel they are able to compete equally with others.

“We can all improve the life of a child if we join hands and work together,” he says.
