Officers called to help each other

“We should be able to work as a family and family members care and love each other,”

KwaThema – KwaThema SAPS officers were reminded of the importance of working in a team and going back to the basics.

The team attended a team building session at Modderbee Club House last Thursday.

The session was hosted to promote unity and teamwork among all members.

Station Commander of KwaThema, Col Elsie Malapane, said it is important that officers work together and have each other’s back.

“We are working in a volatile environment where we need each other to keep the streets safe and crime-free.

“We should be able to work as a family and family members care and love each other,” she says.

Malapane adds it is about time they all look at where they went wrong and find ways to rectify the mistakes.

“And even though we sometimes don’t always see eye to eye, this should not be a reason for us to fight.

“We have taken an oath to protect and serve the community and this should always be our number one priority,” she says.

The officers also received awards as a way of encouraging and appreciating their efforts.
