Police searching for man who raped his ex

“Later the ex-boyfriend allegedly took the teen out of the bedroom and went with her to an open veld and the ordeal continued."

KwaThema – A 15-year-old girl claims she was raped by her ex-boyfriend at KwaThema Hostel.

She and a group of friends went to a tavern in Springs where she bumped into her ex-boyfriend.

It is alleged he grabbed her by the hand, pulled her into an unknown vehicle and drove off with her to the hostel.

KwaThema police spokesperson Capt Thabo Sibuyi says the complainant claims her ex-boyfriend assaulted her, took off her clothes and tried to force her to have sex with him, but when she refused he raped her.

“On Sunday she asked him to let her go home.

“He refused and continued to sleep with her again numerous times.

“On Monday he gave her his phone to contact her mother, to tell her she was not around KwaThema but in Johannesburg.

“He then left the girl with his cellphone.

“She also managed to call her boyfriend,” he says.

Sibuyi says the boyfriend’s attempts to rescue her failed, as the ex-boyfriend soon returned.

“Later the ex-boyfriend allegedly took the teen out of the bedroom and went with her to an open veld and the ordeal continued.

“He beat her up again, raped her further till Tuesday morning and threatened to kill her.

“She alleges she was taken back to the room and locked in before he left for work.

“Seeing an opportunity, the teen managed to open a window and asked to use someone’s phone.

“She proceeded to call her boyfriend again.

“She told him where she was and the boyfriend went to the police, who were able to rescue her,” says Sibuyi.

Police are investigating, but the suspect remains at large.
