Inspiring people to believe in possibilities

Setjhaba Msibi’s humble beginnings have groomed him to inspire greatness and critical thinking in this generation.

Duduza – Setjhaba Msibi’s humble beginnings have groomed him to inspire greatness and critical thinking in this generation.

An industrial engineer, fashion designer and author, Msibi is hell-bent on proving that people can become whatever they want to be if they put their minds to it.

“I was born in Kroonstad and my family moved to the East Rand when I was a child.

“I had no role models as a young boy because my father left us soon after we got here,” he explains.

Msibi says that these challenges only fuelled his determination to be a better person.

He started the ‘I Believe’ clothing brand in 2015 from the boot of his car, and now he has a shop on Woodpecker Street.

“The idea came to me in a vision, so I knew exactly where to start.

“I wanted to use the brand to help people see infinite possibilities despite their circumstances.

“People like clothes, so the message is always visible.”

Msibi says that one of his biggest dreams is to manufacture the clothing in Ekurhuleni instead of outsourcing them as he wants to create jobs.

“I see the brand on billboards in New York!”

In his journey to mentor young men and show them the ropes, Msibi says a forum is in the pipeline.

“By the end of the year I will have created a platform for young men to tell me how I can help them.

From social issues to entrepreneurship, I am more than ready give them everything I have to make their lives better.”
