Entrepreneur working his way up

Muzi Nhlapo's (28) ultimate dream is to run a multi printing company and he is willing to built it from nothing.

Duduza – young entrepreneur Muzi Nhlapo is not letting anything stand in the way of his success.

The 28-year-old Dental Science graduate says he saw a need in the community and used it to his advantage.

“It was only after I completed my degree that I realised I have a passion for business.”

Muzi is the owner of Trevocell, an internet café on Mandela Street.

“I started with one laptop and a printer in the garage in 2012.

I am successful just for getting this far.”

He says his business now employs two people full-time and he has an intern.

“The aim should always be to pull other people up with you,” he explains.

Muzi says that his dream is to own a multi-printing empire.

“I want people to understand that Trevocell is not just an internet café but something much more.

Soon we will have big corporates as our clients.”

Because the shack that Muzi runs his company from is not secure he has to pack up all his equipment every night and take it home with him.

“I wake up very early to load the stuff.

I make two trips to get all of it set up but I don’t mind because I have a vision.”

Fanyana Simelane, one of Muzi’s employees says he finds his job rewarding because they help many people every day.

“From typing and printing CVs to sending faxes. We do many things here that many people don’t know how to do themselves.”

Seun Nyembe, another employee at the café adds that the online application process for grade ones and grade eights proved to be a challenge for most parents and guardians.

“Most of the children here live with their grandparents.

“Without our help, I really don’t think they would’ve figured out.”
