Taxi ride to work lead to sexual harassment

KwaThema – A taxi drive to Duduza rank turned into a nightmare for a 33-year-old complainant in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It is alleged the complainant was on her way to work when she boarded a dark green Mazda.

KwaThema Police spokesperson Captain Thabo Sibuyi says the complainant explained there were three men in the vehicle.

“The complainant took out her purse and paid R7, but she was shocked when the driver harshly called her a b*.

“He ordered her to take out her cellphone and hand it over to one of the men inside the car.

“The driver started touching her private parts while one of the men held a knife over her head.

“He then hit her with a fist and demanded her purse.

“They stopped on Ngungunyane Street and forced her to get out of the car,” he says.

Sibuyi says no arrests have been made.
