Duduza – A woman has been arrested for murder after a fight with another woman over her boyfriend, on Ntuli Street, on Saturday evening.
It is alleged the woman arrived at her boyfriend’s house, where she found him with another woman.
Duduza Police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka says a fight broke out between the two women.
“The suspect pulled out a table knife and stabbed the deceased in her chest.
“The 24-year-old victim was certified dead on the scene by the paramedics,” he says.
Manaka says the police detectives were called to the scene and the suspect was arrested.
“It is sad that we have to experience yet another death of a woman in Duduza, especially at the beginning of Women’s Month.
“Violence is a never a solution.
“We urge people not to resort to acts of violence to vent their anger or frustration.
“The loss of one life is one too many.”
The suspect appeared in the Nigel Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder.
