Enrichment programme produces great results

KwaThema - Learners enrolled in the Ntsane Masiloane School Enrichment Programme have started with their best foot forward this year.

“We have achieved a 95 per cent pass rate in mathematics for term one,” says Ntsane Masiloane, the founder of the school programme.

Of the 105 learners who wrote the internal mathematics exam, 100 passed.

The programme provides Grade 10, 11 and 12 learners, from different secondary schools in KwaThema, classes in physical science and mathematics.

Masiloane believes the classes afford learners a better chance of achieving great results.

“On average, our Grade 12 learners have improved from level 3 to level 6.

“The Grade 11 learners have improved from levels 3 and 4 to level 7.

“Grade 10 learners have improved to level 5,” says Masiloane.

Level 7, the highest level a learner can achieve, is a mark between 80 and 100 per cent.

Noluthando Mabena was the top learner, with 92 per cent in mathematics.

“I’m grateful that I attend this programme and I am now confident in maths,” says Mabena.

“We work with learners, Monday to Saturday, because we strongly believe that whatever you do every day produces notable results,” explains Masiloane.
