Police spokesman Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu says the victim and his girlfriend were searching for an address on Friday evening in Extension 6, Langaville.
“They were visiting the victim’s mother’s home in the area when they stopped to ask for directions from someone in the street.

“Three men approached out of nowhere and held them at gunpoint and demanded the car,” she says.
Mngomezulu says the three men fled the scene in the vehicle, leaving the victims on the scene.
“The police are still hunting for the man’s two accomplices.”
She adds that anyone who has information about the accomplices’ whereabouts should contact the police.

The arrested man will appear before the Springs Magistrate’s Court soon.
