Pop-up markets come to KwaThema

KwaThema - Ziba Park played host to the first of many pop-up markets on Saturday.

Lereto Masike, one of the organisers, says the event was a success, despite the rainy weather.

“I am over the moon. We had 37 stalls with entrepreneurs from all over Kwatsaduza selling everything from vegetables to massages!” she explains.

Masike says they could have had more stalls, but they want to avoid duplicating the services and products offered.

“We don’t want two people selling the same thing so we had to turn some vendors away.”

The concept will see the pop-up market set up at different venues around Kwatsaduza.

“We have not decided how often we will have it yet, but we are working on that.”
