Hijackers disappear in man’s car

KwaThema - The owner of a Mazda 323 was allegedly hijacked on Friday evening by four men who pretended to help him.

KwaThema police spokesman Captain Thabo Sibuyi says the complainant’s (40) car allegedly got stuck on the corner of Sam Ngema and Kgaswane streets.

“He attempted to push it on his own but an unknown man appeared and offered to help him.

“Soon after another three men appeared and also offered to help.

“The unsuspecting driver accepted the men’s help but things turned sour when the car finally started,” he says.

Sebola says the four men demanded to be paid.

“The complainant told them he had no money. The angry men then allegedly pushed him out of the vehicle and produced a firearm.

“They then entered the vehicle and drove off,” he says.

Sebola says the vehicle is cream/white in colour.

“No arrests have been made and the car has still not been found.
