“Then in 2013 while looking for a partner, Walker and I met and that is when our partnership began.

“Over the years we have competed in many competitions and last year, one of them was dancing at the South African Dance Foundation Championship, which was hosted in Kempton Park.

“We competed in the ballroom category and managed to take first spot, which has awarded us this opportunity,” he says.

Nhlapo says this is one of those events that have the potential to open great doors for him and his partner.

And they aim to use the opportunity wisely.

“I am definitely looking forward to this and hope we will do well,” he says.

After this competition, the local star plans to compete in the Netherlands.
