“While he was walking alone at about 4.30am, the complainant was approached by two men who he tried to avoid.
“One of the men went straight to him with a knife in his hand and allegedly demanded a cellphone and money,” explains Capt Thabo Sibuyi.

The complainant tried to run but fell and that is when one of the robbers pressed him to the ground.
One robber took the complainant’s wallet, while the other took his bag containing clothes and other items, and left.

No arrests have been made but police are investigating a case of robbery.
