Man found dead after house robbery

Kwatsaduza - On Friday morning at about 6.30am a 40-year-old man from Daveyton was found dead underneath his vehicle.

His body was discovered at the old dumping mine close to Langaville, not far from Vlakfontein Road.

“It is unclear how many robbers there were or what they took from the house, but the culprits then allegedly took the couple and put them in their (couple’s) black Golf GTI and took off with them.

“Along the way the wife was thrown out in KwaThema while the robbers drove off with the husband,” says Shongwe.

The man was found later that morning in Langaville underneath his car.

And he had numerous wounds on his body.

“The man’s vehicle had to be jacked-up to pull him out from underneath it.

“He was found tied-up with cable ties and both hands at the back of his body.

“He is also suspected to have been strangled as there was a cloth found around his neck,” says Shongwe.

Paramedics certified the man dead on the scene.
