Praying for safety of the police

KwaThema – Various religious groups and local residents united to conduct a festive prayer for the South African Police Service.

The service was conducted at the KwaThema Police Station last Thursday.

Capt Thabo Sibuyi explains that this was a community initiative, with the aim of praying for police officers to remain safe especially over the festive season.

“The community’s prayer was that there’ll be no policemen killed, especially during this time, as they need them.

“And as the KwaThema police, we’re really happy, humbled and proud of our community – as it’s not many people who do this, or who see our work.

“We truly appreciate the gesture and more than anything, thank them for being able to remember that we’re human beings too and still have families who need us,” he says.
