Mob justice attack end in murder

KwaThema – A 24-year-old young man was killed in an alleged mob justice attack along Nkadimeng Street in Extension Two, on Monday morning.

According to police spokesman, Capt Thabo Sibuyi, it’s alleged that the young man was seen attempting to break into one of the houses on this street, at about 6am.

“The young man was spotted by a group of men, who suspected that he were going to steal from that yard.

“Angered by that, the locals approached him, took him out of the yard and hit him with sjamboks among other things. They then fled, leaving him injured – which resulted in him dying in the middle of the street,” says Sibuyi.

No one has been arrested, but police have confirmed that they are investigating a case of murder.
