Men take charge in 16 days campaign

Kwatsaduza - The Sundae Byte Men’s Club took it upon themselves to join the 16 days of Activism fight against women and child abuse.

The men based in Duduza, therefore roamed the streets of Phumula Mqhashi conducting a door to door campaign, distributing pamphlets and talking to men, women and children about this campaign.

“As a new local group of men, we saw it was important for us to educate our community on domestic violence and to share safety tips with our women and children.

“Through this, we are showing our support in the fight against no violence towards our women and children.

“We see a lot of children and women being abused by the same men who are meant to protect them – and we want this to stop,” says the group’s public relations officer, Lebohang Ramaesa.

He adds that through this, they hope to start seeing some positive changes and for men to stop seeing women as their property, but as their partners.
